Network Aviation Fokker 100's pass through Adelaide

Over the past few days there have been 2 Network Aviation Fokker 100's visit Adelaide for reasons unknown.

Network Aviation F100 VH-NHI arrived from Perth, WA at 15.24hrs on 23/7/13. after a short stop it departed to Melbourne at 16.55hrs, then continued onto Sydney. The following day VH-NHI returned to Adelaide arriving from Sydney at 11.50hrs, and onto Perth at 12.35hrs.

Network Aviation F100 VH-NHQ arrived from Leonora, WA at 14.45hrs on 24/7/13, after a short stop it departed to Melbourne at 15.45hrs, then continued onto Sydney. The following day VH-NHQ returned to Adelaide arriving from Sydney at 11.50hrs, and onto Perth at 12.35hrs.

Qatar Airways B777-3DZ (ER) A7-BAA diverts to Adelaide (1st Visit)

Qatar Airways B777-3DZ(ER) A7-BAA en-route Doha-Melbourne as 'QR30' diverted into Adelaide this evening, due to the reason of a medical emergency. The aircraft arrived
into Adelaide at 20.35hrs, and continued its trip down to Melbourne, departing at 22.05hrs.

This was a historic event for Adelaide Airport. This was the 1st Qatar Airways aircraft to visit Adelaide, as well as it was the 1st time 2 B777-300ER's parked side by side at the main terminal whne Qatar parked next the scheduled EK440/441 operated by A6-EBU.

Qantas B737-800 VH-XZH (1st Visit)

Qantas B737-838 VH-XZH arrived from Sydney at 09.05hrs as 'QF735'. It later departed back to Sydney as 'QF738' at 10.00hrs.

This was XZH's 1st visit to Adelaide. XZH arrived into Melbourne from Boeing Field via Honolulu and Nadi as 'QF6024' on 10/7/13.

TigerAir A320 VH-VNQ (1st Visit) with new titles

Tigerair A320 VH-VNQ arrived from Melbourne as TT482 at 16.50hrs. The aircraft departed at 14.20hrs as TT483 back to Melbourne.

This is the 1st visit of a Tigerair titled aircraft to visit Adelaide. Tigerair is the new name for the former Tiger Airways. Bad weather in Perth causes Diversions to Adelaide

Emirates B777-300ER A6-EGF operating 'EK424' from  Dubai to Perth diverted to Adelaide this morning due to bad fog. The aircraft arrived in Adelaide at 03.40 as 'EK424', after a long layover in Adelaide A6-EGF departed back to Perth as 'EK424D' at 20.35hrs. This was EGF'S 1st visit to Adelaide in daylight hours, 2nd A6-EG* block to visit Adelaide in daylight and only its 9th visit to Adelaide since EK have been flying to Adelaide.

Qantas B767-300ER VH-OGI operating 'QF767' from Brisbane to Perth diverted to Adelaide also due to fog in Perth. The aircraft arrived at 01.40hrs, VH-OGI continued its flight to Perth when it departed Adelaide at 14.50hrs as 'QF767'.

Jetstar Airways A320 VH-VGD operating 'JQ980' from Brisbane to Perth diverted to Adelaide also due to fog in Perth. The  aircraft initially diverted to Kalgoorlie arriving there at 23.55hrs. The aircraft departed Kalgoorlie for Adelaide as ''JQ980' arriving at 06.15hrs. VH-VGD finally departed back to Perth as  'JQ7302' at 22.15hrs.

Singapore Airlines B777-200ER 9V-SQJ operating 'SQ213' from Singapore to Perth diverted to Adelaide this afternoon due to bad thunderstorms in Perth. The aircraft arrived at 16.30hrs, after what appeared to be a short fuel stop the aircraft continued to Perth departing at 17.55hrs as 'SQ213'. This was SQJ's 3rd visit to Adelaide, all of which have been diversions. The previous 2 visits were diversions from Melbourne.

Virgin Australia Regional F100 VH-FSQ (1st visit)

Virgin Australia Regional F28-0100 VH-FSQ arrived from Derby, RAAF Curtin Base at 15.50hrs. After a short stop it departed to Melbourne at 16.30hrs.

This was the 1st visit of VH-FSQ to Adelaide, as well as the 1st visit of a Virgin Australia painted Fokker 100 to Adelaide. In 2013 Virgin Australia took over Western Australia regional carrier Skywest. At this stage only 1x A320, F100 and 2x F50's are painted up in Virgin Australia livery. Over time the rest of the Skywest aircraft will be re-painted.

Palmer United Global Express M-ATAR makes a visit

Avwest owned (operated by Palmer United Party) Global Express M-ATAR arrived from Melbourne at 12.00hrs. After spending the afternoon in Adelaide, the aircraft departed at 21.30hrs to Coolangatta.

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFQ (1st Visit)

Virgin Australia B737-800 VH-YFQ arrived from Sydney at 10.30hrs as 'VA412'. The aircraft departed at 11.30 back to Sydney as 'VA417'.

This was VH-YFQ's 1st visit to Adelaide since the aircraft entered service on 1/7/13. YFQ arrived in Australia on 20/6/13 from Boeing Field via Honolulu and Nadi.

Australian Air Express B737-338BCF VH-XMB

Australian Air Express B737-300BCF VH-XMB arrived from Perth at 09.05hrs as 'QF7334'. After unloading and refuelling the aircraft departed to Melbourne at 10.45hrs using the same flight number.

The Australian Air Express B737's are not common visitors to Adelaide. The may visit once or twice a year. Adelaide had 3 Bae146-300F's based in Adelaide which are used by Australian Air Express for the nightly freight runs.
